This position provides therapeutic and psycho-educational workshops and group sessions for consumers who are deaf. The qualified candidate shall possess: BA in psychology, counseling or any other human services fields; must have 2 years experience with individuals with mental illness and/or mental retardation including treatment planning and progress notes; advanced fluency in ASL required; must be innovative, creative and be able to work in a team environment.  Duties:  Develop, coordinate and provide group/individual therapy for wellness maintenance and psycho-educational workshops.

This position provides direct client services including encouraging client independence in areas such as skills in daily living and community integration.  Qualifications:  HS + 1 year related experience or AA; valid drivers’ license; advanced fluency in American Sign Language (ASL); minimum of 2 years experience with Deaf Community; demonstrated competency in independent living skills; ability to teach, advise and motivate Deaf Consumers; strong interpersonal skills.  Duties: Provide supported living and training to Deaf consumers with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities living in the community; promote consumers’ independence and social relationships. Positions open for weekend and evening shifts.

This position is to provide clinical support to adolescents who reside in our RTF and their family members. Qualifications: Masters in Social Work or Counseling and license (LCSW or LPC) eligible in the state of Pennsylvania;  ASL fluency and Deaf Culture sensitivity; knowledge of impact of hearing loss, assistive technology and needs of persons who are hard of hearing; ability to work with both adults and children. Responsibilities include:  Assessment and intervention for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals, families and groups, utilizing a variety of communication modalities to accommodate the need.  Progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries and other reports as required.

We are seeking a clinical professional with experience in utilizing the principles of applied behavior analysis; assessment and evaluation of behavior, and the application of interventions that result in behavior change.   Strong interpersonal skills are also essential.  The behavior specialist will be working with the treatment team to provide supports to clients who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, and their families. Must have the ability to provide clinical supervision/guidance for staff in providing therapeutic techniques and approaches and assist in treatment planning process and documentation. Qualifications: Licensed Clinical Psychologist; Board Certified Behavior Analyst; Certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis or Other Master’s Level Mental Health Clinician with documented training in the field of Behavioral Modification techniques.  Fluency in American Sign Language preferred, but will consider candidates with an open mindedness to learning about this population.

The Interpreter Department is looking for an addition to our current team of 2 full time interpreters. Responsibilities include: Interpret for emergencies (physical and psychiatric), mental health evaluations, groups, staff meetings and sessions, home visits with deaf adults and children.  Also interpret for in internal office and community meetings with both hearing and deaf professional staff. Must be able to work with a team of hearing and/or deaf interpreters and be a team player. Qualifications: AA degree with minimum 3 years of Interpreting experience with Deaf individuals or BA Interpreting degree with 1 year experience. Knowledge of mental illness and/or developmental disabilities is a plus. Must be willing to travel throughout the SE counties and be flexible to do some evenings and weekends when needed. Current national certification and PA State Registered through ODHH are preferred.

Milestones Achievement Center, located in DuBois, is seeking a part-time Behavioral Consultant to work on-site as the lead member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team responsible for the implementation of therapeutic skills acquisition and behavior modification protocols.  The Behavioral Consultant develops and individualized plan and monitors progress for assigned clients in partnership with family members and school staff.  The individual will deliver behavioral consultation hours in the MAC as prescribed by the school district.

Educational Requirements and Experience:  1) Lincensed Doctoral Level Psychologist OR 2) Licensed Clinical Psychologist OR 3) Other Master''s Level Mental Health Clinician with documented training in the field of Behavioral Modification techniques or supervised by 1 or 2 above.  (Must be enrolled in A.B.A. program at approved university.  Minimum of one year experience working with children having behavioral/learning disorders.
